In 2021 I launched the single edition print range. Images that, when given the right treatment, share their deeper story and connect with the viewer on an emotional and nostalgic level. One of a kind prints, either ready for framing or custom framed to order.
Lockdown TRIO "SENTINEL"
Digital Photographic Image printed on Museum 310 Fine Art Paper
Image Size: 29.6*29.6 Inches
Sentinel is part of a photographic series that explores the emotions of the winter lockdown of 2020/21 through images of the North East Fife countryside.
This piece asks the viewer to reflect on the physical and emotional solitude brought about by lockdown, the misty scene bringing back the sense of claustrophobia that we felt when movement was restricted.
The single wind turbine sits in the distance, drawing the viewer in and towards the warm glow in the sky, suggesting light at the end of the tunnel and warmer, sunnier days to come.

LOCKDOWN TRIO "Winter Finally Comes"
Digital Photographic Image printed on Museum 310 Fine Art Paper
Image Size: 29.6*29.6 Inches
Winter Finally Comes is part of a photographic series that explores the emotions of the winter lockdown of 2020/21 through images of the North East Fife countryside.
This piece is dark, expressing the depth of feelings felt in the middle of the second lockdown, the country was in a frozen state. Scotland was hit by heavy snow and icy conditions and news of the true human cost became clear.
The viewer is drawn to a shadowy world where footprints in the snow remind us that others still dwell here, the agricultural buildings collapsing under the weight of the snowfall, much like the weight of responsibility on each of us to protect each other and our communities.
The long shadows cast by the dying sunlight mark the passing of time like the hands of a clock, winding down to the end of days.

LOCKDOWN TRIO "At the end of the day"
Digital Photographic Image printed on Museum 310 Fine Art Paper
Image Size: 29.6*29.6 Inches
At the End of the Day is part of a photographic series that explores the emotions of the winter lockdown of 2020/21 through images of the North East Fife countryside.
Towards the end of Scotland’s second lockdown there was a feeling of optimism, hope and relief. However, because of the experiences lived through the last 12 months the world had changed and at the end of the day, everything must change.
The sunset signifies the end of the old although within the details of the image the viewer can spot two design icons reborn. The GPO telephone box now repurposed as a defibrillator, with the ability to save lives. The other, the redesigned classic car, the Fiat 500, which has been reborn numerous times since it’s inception in 1957.
Both icons seem to say to the viewer, “If we can make it through this so can you.” The sunlight pouring through the gate, open, inviting you to step into the new, beyond.

Fine Art Botanicals - "Contemplation"
Digital Photographic Image printed on Museum 310 Fine Art Paper
Image Size: 15.6*23.4 Inches
The plant world can shock and surprise with bold colour and the intricacies of its design and ingenuity.
Contemplation is a return to this theme as it allows the viewer to draw breath and relax. The Lily, captured before it’s fully opened, sits in the centre of the image with it’s lush foliage emerging from the shadows of the plant’s shady garden position to frame the shot.
The texture of the leaves and the flowerhead reminds us that all lifeforms have hidden complexities and purpose. The unopened flowerhead, the hidden potential of the plant to create life anew.

FIFE Stories series - "Elven gates"
Digital Photographic Image printed on Museum 310 Fine Art Paper
Image Size: 41.9*23.6 Inches
The Fife Stories Series celebrates all the wonderful things the kingdom offers, using images from both rural and urban settings these are works that transport you to other places.
“Eleven Gates” is a piece that highlights the magical feeling interpreted from a close-up shot of a metal “pavilion” situated in Riverside Park in Glenrothes.
The metal fretwork glows in the springtime sunlight, with a plethora of crocus and daffodil about to burst into a riot of colour at its base.
Even though the park is situated a stone’s throw from the town centre the areas of the park exude a mystical quality right out of the pages of a Tolkien book.
The gateway is there, all you need to enter is the right words…

FIFE Stories series - "Heading for the Hills"
Digital Photographic Image printed on Museum 310 Fine Art Paper
Image Size: 23.6*35.4 Inches
Part of the Fife Stories Series, “Heading for the Hills” captures the moment a car is heading out of the village of Dunshalt in Fife.  Reminiscent of modern film noir, the viewers point of view takes in the dramatic sky, distant Lomond Hills and darkening mood.
The hidden sun filters down onto the old school Jaguar car, seating the image in the era of spy thrillers and crime drama. The cars occupants are obscured. Are they heading into the next adventure or away from imminent danger?

FIFE Stories series - "Washout"
Digital Photographic Image printed on Museum 310 Fine Art Paper
Image Size: 23.6*35.4 Inches
Part of the Fife Stories Series, “Washout” aims to evoke the moment when the viewer glimpses the white van through a rain-streaked window. Traffic on this Dunfermline street is mundane and ordinary most days. On this day it had the potential for more.

FIFE Stories series - "Before the arrival"
Digital Photographic Image printed on Museum 310 Fine Art Paper
Image Size: 29.6*44.4 Inches
This work, “Before the Arrival” is another of the Fife Stories Series. This time, an internal shot of a barn. The dark, shadowy and somewhat rundown interior is split by a shaft of light.
The viewer is transported back to a time of magic and possibility, the shaft of light the precursor to the arrival of the fairy godmother, good witch or wizened wizard come to save the day.
It’s a reminder to us all that even in modern times, everyone can do with that bit of fairy dust that is imagination from time to time.
