Education & History
Peter studied design and typography at Edinburgh’s Telford College, learning about photography and image editing. After college, he worked in financial services while developing his photo editing styles. In 2008, he entered the print on demand market and expanded his online presence on sites like allposters.com and deviantart.com.
In 2012, Peter joined Open Studios North Fife, continuing to participate until his final online exhibition in 2020. His work gained popularity through commissions and exhibitions in Cupar before relocating to Edinburgh in 2022. Peter's art evokes nostalgia, movement, stillness, or peace and often invites viewer interpretation.
Due to COVID-19, some of his works were offered as unlimited edition prints online. In 2021, "Ray of Sunshine" was accepted into the SSA online exhibition "Contemporary Figures." Since then, he has produced annual collections of photographic and fine art prints available on his website.
After returning to Edinburgh in 2022, he sought exhibition opportunities for his work. In 2023, Peter created “A Sense of Place,” an online walk-through of older pieces exploring place and its meanings. He participated in a joint exhibition at the Art & Craft Collective in 2024 with 30 pieces under the theme of Nature's Light. Additionally, his works Distortion and Droplets featured in the SSA 2024 annual exhibition catalogue as part of the 30 by 30 affordable art project.
