Hello and welcome to my Newsletter, I’ve been meaning to get in touch for some time, along with the new normal comes the opportunity to try something a bit different.
Wait a minute, who am I?
I’m a fine art photographer and designer that’s been creating striking images of the everyday since 2008. I’ve sold work online through my Etsy store and my website and as part of the Award winning arts event Open Studios North Fife as well as businesses and galleries within North Fife area
This unique event has been running during the May Bank Holiday weekend for the last 15 years and this year it was postponed until October, due to the current guidelines they've moved the event online. This was due to be my last after taking part for the last five years. Here's the latest from the event organisers.
On the 10th, 11th and 12th October of this extraordinary year Open Studios North Fife is launching an extraordinary event. The award winning, free event was cancelled in lockdown but we have worked hard to put together a postponed event which will give our visitors the chance to see how artists work and the beautiful things that they produce. OSNF showcases a huge range of skilled practitioners who include nationally and internationally recognized award-winning artists, designers and makers alongside some talented emerging artists. The unique and widely celebrated character of the event is the focus on displaying the working practice and creative processes of the participants. You can see how ironwork is crafted in a forge, how paintings are built up from sketches and how jewellery, glasswork, pottery or wood is fashioned into beautiful artwork. OSNF attracts thousands of visitors at the May bank holiday every year, this October we hope to welcome you back and provide a lively weekend activity for many more.
Since we are now in a much more restricted position with lockdown we will sadly no longer be able to welcome you to our homes. We would still love to share our work and practices with you please visit our website www.openstudiosfife.co.uk to find your favourite artists some new favourites. Most important the website will also direct you to 'Open Studios North Fife Virtual Hub', where you can continue your journey to artists social media pages and websites.
Our participants studios are spread around the lovely hamlets, villages and small towns of Fife. Once lockdown is over many of us will be delighted to welcome you to our studios by appointment at any time.
Open Studios North Fife - Saturday 10th, Sunday 11th, and Monday 12th October 10am till 5pm.
If you've never visited why not have a look? I've added loads more content to my site including my new OSNF 2020 Collection and there will be more to come.

As I have a lot of work that is already framed and ready to hang I've started adding more information about these works to the 2020 collection pages. Soon you'll be able to get more information about my other framed OSNF work I already have for sale in the studio too.
Look out for future information on my prints for sale on my Etsy store too!
For the last 5 years I've taken part in Open Studios North Fife, a great way of engaging with people that love art and love to support local artists and makers. This year will, sadly, be my last as I'm moving back to the place of my birth and constant muse Edinburgh. More about that in future newsletters though.
This years collection is is a bit of a retrospective of my last 5 years but also looking forward and celebrating the shape, light and colour of the everyday. There are some older works here including two of my first, including that iconic bridge, and a certain feline companion!
The newer works include captured moments of the everyday brought to life in dramatic ways, the daily commute feeling the the cover of a spy novel, the nightime streets of Edinburgh sizzling with light.
I've divided the collection into three rough "walls"  where the theme is either really obvious or a wee bit abstract.
My updated website will feature each of the works, list prices for the work avialable for sale in the studio and link to prints available through Etsy. You'll be able to contact me about the works directly through the website.
During the online event on the 10th and 11th of October I'll be introducing the themes and some of the work including video's of my editing process! For this exclusive content you'll need to join the open Studios Virtual Hub. (just click the button below) See you there.
