Everyday Drama

Injecting drama into the daily commute

There's something almost cinematic about this shot that turns an ordinary scene to something out of a spy novel. The light filters through the glass roof of Waverley Station onto a purposefully striding figure, off to save the world or just another day at the office?

This leads to the question, if something is deemed ordinary should it be less important? I suppose the simplest answer is, it depends on who’s impacted by it. The way we humans attach significance to things is so complicated that everyone will have a different opinion on what’s important. Missing your train and being 30 minutes late for your job could be a minor inconvenience for one and an absolute disaster for others. Some might even pass judgment on others and tell the person to get a grip you’re only 30 minutes late.
The same goes for positive experiences, acts of kindness land differently depending on who’s receiving it. Depending on the person, their history and state of mind that day, effects could range from mild suspicion to a euphoric lift.
With that in mind it seems like we can make a difference to the people we come into contact with by being a little less judgy and a bit more kind.
This print comes ready mounted so you can take it to your own framer, or I can arrange to have this done for you. Just use the contact me button with an idea of the sort of framing you’re after and I can get you a quote.
