This piece is dark, expressing the depth of feelings felt in the middle of the second lockdown, the country was in a frozen state. Scotland was hit by heavy snow and icy conditions and news of the true human cost became clear.
The viewer is drawn to a shadowy world where footprints in the snow remind us that others still dwell here, the agricultural buildings collapsing under the weight of the snowfall, much like the weight of responsibility on each of us to protect each other and our communities.
The long shadows cast by the dying sunlight mark the passing of time like the hands of a clock, winding down to the end of days
